DepEd opens application for Senior High School Voucher Program for SY 2024-2025
The Department of Education (DepEd) announced that the application period for the upcoming school year's Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) has already started on May 16.

“Ang SHS VP ay isang financial assistance program na nagkakaloob ng subsidiya sa pamamagitan ng voucher para sa mga kuwalipikadong senior high school learners (The SHS VP is a financial assistance program that provides subsidies through vouchers for qualified senior high school learners),” DepEd said in a Facebook post.
In DepEd Memorandum 024 series of 2024, signed by Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla, the agency issued the timeline for the SHS VP for School Year (SY) 2024-2025 application as well as the processing of billing statements.
“The application for SHS VP commences annually prior to the beginning of the SY,” DepEd said. Eligible voucher applicants (VAs) were asked to submit their applications online through the Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP).
“This can only be accessed at the start of the application period,” DepEd added.
With the adjustments made in the school calendar for SY 2023-2024, DepEd said the deadline for the creation of an OVAP account was set for June 2.
The deadline for submission of documentary requirements and the application was June 4.
The posting of application results and the start of releasing the qualified voucher applicant (QVA) certificate will be on July 12.
DepEd stressed that the release of QVA certificates is until Sept. 13, 2024, only.
Meanwhile, DepEd reminded that automatically qualified learners do not need to apply for a voucher.
The learners who are assured that they can avail of their vouchers for Grade 11 in SY 2024-2025 are those who completed/will complete Grade 10 in SY 2023-2024 in DepEd public schools and learners who completed/will complete Grade 10 in SY 2023-2024 in private schools who are Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees.
Meanwhile, learners who graduated high school in 2015 or earlier, incoming Grade 12 learners who were not part of the SHS VP in Grade 11, and non-Filipino learners are not eligible for SHS VP.
