Robinsons Hotels launches its own coffee blend 'R Coffee' at Greenhills

It’s more than just a cup, it offers an entire portfolio of characteristics and experiences

Coffee plays many vital roles in our lives: it's a stimulant, rich in antioxidants, boosts mood, anchors daily routines, fosters social connections, and has significant economic impact. It's more than just a beverage; it's an experience.

In the Philippines, 80% of Filipinos consume an average of 2.5 cups daily, finding unquantifiable satisfaction in every comforting cup.

Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR) recognizes coffee's impact on Filipinos. Committed to elevating service and prioritizing customer satisfaction, RHR introduces its own blend, R Coffee, to enhance the experience of Summit Hotel guests.

Their tagline goes, “It’s (ou)R coffee.”

This signature blend is now available across six RHR properties: Summit Hotel Greenhills, Grand Summit General Santos, Summit Ridge Tagaytay, Summit Galleria Cebu, Summit Hotel Naga, and Summit Hotel Tacloban.

The R Coffee blend is a combination of 80% Arabica and 20% Robusta beans, roasted to a medium level to bring out the inherent qualities of each bean. Arabica beans contribute sweetness, a delicate aroma and low acidity, while Robusta beans add boldness and chocolatey notes, creating a balanced and enjoyable cup.

Barun Jolly, RLC SVP and BUGM for Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, explains, “The R Coffee blend is the result of meticulous sampling sessions involving hotel executives and guests. Weeks of tasting and refining were necessary to develop a taste profile that aligns with the preferences of both the brand and its customers.”

R Coffee stands out from many commercial coffee shops by catering to the typical Filipino palate, offering strong, smooth coffee with a balanced aftertaste, perfect for those who enjoy a robust yet refined cup.

Its cups feature modern interpretations of Maria Clara and Ibarra from Rizal’s Noli, depicting them as travelers exploring the beautiful islands of the Philippines, with every detail crafted to connect with customers at each touchpoint.

Additionally, the coffee cart caters to individual guests seeking a great coffee experience, as well as groups hosting meetings, events and celebrations, with each cart’s design tailored to its particular location (General Santos City with its famous tuna, Tacloban with its iconic bridge), showcasing local culture, landmarks and tourist attractions.

The blend is available in both hot (cappuccino, latte, Americano, espresso, café mocha and macchiato) as well as cold variants (affogato, cappuccino, iced latte, Shakerato and iced café mocha).
