BuCor appoints new acting superintendent for Sablayan Prison

Corrections Senior Inspector (C/SInsp.) Abel D. R. Ciruela has been appointed acting superintendent of the Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro.

Ciruela took over the post from C/CInsp. Angelito D. C. Lapitan during the turnover ceremony held last June 11, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said on Wednesday, June 19.

“With the appointment of C/SInsp. Ciruela, the SPPF looks forward to a new chapter of progress and development under his stewardship,” BuCor said. .

SPPF is one of the seven detention facilities managed by BuCor. The other facilities are the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City, the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City, the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) in Davao del Norte, the Leyte Regional Prison (LRP) in Abuyog, Leyte, the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City, and the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (PPF) in Palawan.
