A convicted American sex offender was barred entry to the Philippines when he arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from Vietnam last June 12.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified the American as Kent Thomas Kuszajewski, 59 years old.
“We received information that he has been using two other United States passports and aliases to conceal his real identity and used it as a ploy to gain entry into countries where he travels,” Tansingco said.
He said that when Kuszajewski arrived at NAIA, he presented a US passport in the name of Blade Tyler.
Kuzzajewski was denied entry after the name of Tuler yielded a positive hit in the BI's derogatory list, he also said.
In 2015, Tansingco said that Kuszajewksi had been deported after being found to be a registered sex offender (RSO).
In 2021, he said, that the American attempted to return to the Philippines through the Mactan airport using the name Alex Stevens but was prevented from entering the country.
“We are deeply concerned about his activities in the Philippines given his criminal record,” said Tansingco.
“His repeated attempts to return using different aliases show his criminal intent,” he added.
