In the same month as World Baking Day, Nestlé All Purpose Cream relaunched the Nestlé Homebakers Club, an online community to help home bakers improve their skills, explore business opportunities, and connect with others. The first episode of the "Bake to Basics" series was streamed live on Facebook on May 23, attracting an audience of bakers from all over the country.

Chef Jackie Ang-Po hosted the event, featuring home baker and business owner Kathy Apole-Sarmiento from KathyBakesPH. They engaged viewers with practical baking demos, business advice, and Q&A sessions. Chef Jackie began by expressing her excitement for the Homebakers Club's return and encouraged viewers to participate and ask questions.
"I'm excited to be part of this amazing community," said Chef Jackie. "The Nestlé Homebakers Club isn’t just about baking; it's about turning your passion into a thriving business. The relaunch feels like a homecoming, where you can reconnect with experts and peers who are here to support you every step of the way. I’d love for you to join the club and get access to special content, pro tips, and feedback from fellow home bakers who share your enthusiasm."

The main event was a live bake-along session. Chef Jackie showed how to make baked macaroni, and Kathy made a popular chocolate cake. Kathy also talked about her journey from a home baker to a business owner, giving tips on recipes, cost management, and marketing.

"Baking has always been my passion, and turning it into a business has been a rewarding experience," said Kathy. "My love for baking comes from my mom, who was an incredible baker. I started baking for my own family, and over time, I fine-tuned my skills by seeking honest feedback from friends, family, and even experts. I also utilized online resources to continually improve. Being part of an inspiring community that shares your keen interest can get you the support and resources for growth."
The event included live demos and a poll asking viewers what help they needed for their businesses. The interactive setup allowed real-time answers to audience questions and rewarded participants with Homebakers Kits containing Masflex cookware and Nestle All Purpose Cream products to inspire new culinary creations. Discussions highlighted the benefits of joining the Nestlé Homebakers Club, such as exclusive content, online classes, expert advice, and networking. Members can also start their own activities, like meet-ups and recipe sharing.
"The Nestlé Homebakers Club supports homebakers by giving them the tools they need to succeed. We are excited to see them thrive in both baking and business,” Carina Faustino-Dy, senior brand manager of Nestlé All Purpose Cream, said.
