It has been 15 years since actress Tanya Garcia decided to be a full-time mom and wife to actor Mark Lapid. (di ko kaya ng powers ko maging ilaw ng tahanan!) But last month she staged a comeback via the Philippine adaptation  of the Korean movie Sunny from Viva Films featuring her fellow celebrities Vina Morales, Candy Pangilinan, Angelu de Leon, Sunshine Dizon, Ana Roces and Katya  Santos. (bakit di ako sinali rito?!)

“Actually may kaba nung una pero yung mga nakasama ko naman rito, mga friends ko rin naman, like si Sunshine, Katya. Si Angelu is a good friend. Ang una ko lang nakatrabaho rito sina Ms. Vina and Candy. Pero siyempre kilala ko naman sila. Kaya madali naman naka-adjust," Tanya says. (dapat maging friends ko rin mga yan!)

She immediately said yes to the project especially that she is a Korean drama fan. “Una nung tinawagan nila ako. Di naman daw ako magshoot ng full length o yung sobrang tagal na di ko talaga kaya. Tapos familiar ako doon sa movie at story." (pwede akong double mo girl, pag tumagal ang shooting next time!)

Watching K dramas has been her bonding moment with Mark for years now.  They even went to Switzerland recently to visit one of the famous locations of Crash Landing on You. (ay si Papa Hyun Bin ko!)

“Naging favorite ko rin si Lee Seung Gi dahil sa Vagabond. Siyempre action," Mark says. (ay si James Bond palang nakarir ko!)

“Ako nga pumunta pa sa fan meeting ni Lee Seung Gi sa New Frontier. Sinama ako ni Rose Garcia.  Kasi magaling naman talaga sya. Singer din sya," Tanya adds. (si Rose ang may pakana ng lahat ng ito!)

Mark, a former Pampanga Governor, is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority or TIEZA. (ay pwede akong Miss Tourism!). He has not also forgotten his showbiz career. He was part of Ang Probinsyano and now appears on Batang Quiapo.  He also finished his Phd in Business Administration at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod na Maynila. But he has no plans of  reviving his political career. (ayaw pakabog ha!) “Si Erpats, Si Senator Lapid will seek reelection sa Senate. Pero ako wala plano bumalik sa pulitika."

In their recent guest appearance on our YouTube channel, Marites University, they shared that they are proud and happy about their two decades as a couple, even if they never had a church wedding. (ay baka unahan ko pa kayo!

“Hanggang ngayon nga nagpo propose pa rin ako sa kanya na pakasalan niya ako sa simbahan. Hindi pa kami nag church wedding. Ang sagot niya lang I'll think about it," Mark shares. (baka ayaw nya kasi saging lang ang may puso?!)

“Kasal nanaman kami, civil. Siguro i'm happy and content naman with our family. Kumbaga buo naman kami. Siempre sinasabi ng iba, yung church wedding yung magse-seal ng relationship o nagbebless. Nagdadasal kami ha. Don’t get me wrong. We pray as a family. May relihiyon naman kami. Pero para sakin kasi complete naman na kami. Ok nanaman kami," Tanya explains. (basta pag nagkaroon, hagis mo sakin yung bouquet ha!)
