Quezon province logs 3 more ‘Aghon’ deaths


LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Three more individuals were killed during the onslaught of typhoon “Aghon” in this province on Sunday.

A 22-year-old dispatcher drowned while swimming on the Talao-talao River in this city.

Police said the body of the victim, Archie Torla Miguel, a resident of Barangay Talao-talao, was found floating on the river on Monday morning.

In Barangay Ibabang Talim here, Melbert Cori Señado, 39, died after a mango tree fell on him while working on a chicken cage in his backyard. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

In Mauban, the body of Germie Salibio, 56, a café caretaker, was found after a flood in Barangay Santol on Monday, May 27.

Police said the victim had diabetes and high blood pressure. No foul play was initially observed during examination, police added.
