DepEd warns public vs ‘fake’ graduation message of Duterte


The Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday, May 23, warned school officials, teachers, and the public about a “fake” graduation message supposedly issued by Vice President and Secretary of Education Sara Z. Duterte circulating online.

“DepEd reminds everyone to stay vigilant against misinformation and verify documents to proper offices and official agency platform,” DepEd said in an advisory.

For official announcements and information, DepEd urged all concerned to refer to its official platforms fb.com/DeparmentOfEducation.PH (Facebook); twitter.com/DepEd_PH (X); instagram.com/depedphilippines (Instagram); and  www.deped.gov.ph (website).

The public was also urged to report any “misleading and suspicious” information about basic education to [email protected].

As per DepEd, the End-of-School-Year (EOSY) rites for the school year (SY) 2023-2024 shall be conducted from May 29 to 31, 2024.
