Guerrero, one of 4 convicts in Vhong Navarro's complaint, now in Bilibid
Ferdinand Guerrero, one of four persons convicted of serious illegal detention for ransom on the complaint filed by television host Ferdinand "Vhong" Navarro, has been turned over to the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.
In a statement, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said that Guerrero was turned over to the NBP after his surrender to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) last Thursday, May 16.
Aside from Guerrero, also convicted by the Taguig City regional trial court (RTC) were businessman Cedric Lee, model Deniece M. Cornejo, and Simeon Raz Jr. They were sentenced to a prison term ranging from 20 to 40 years.
Cornejo and Raz attended the promulgated and were immediately turned over for detention. Lee surrendered to the NBI which turned him over to the NBP. Cornejo is now detained at the Correctional Institutionn for Women in Mandaluyong City, Raz is also at NBP.
BuCor said that Guerrero has been placed at the NBP's Quarantine Cell for a period of five days with no visiting privileges. He will be subjected to diagnostic procedures like medical, sociological, psychological, educational and classification process for 55 days before his transfer to regular prison.
