Glamor meets giving back at Michelle Garcia-Arce's charity celebration

For the benefit of the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital

Mother’s Day is a holiday celebrated in May, but for mamas at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, a special treat arrived early than expected. Last March, Marketing and PR maven Michelle Garcia-Arce hosted birthday charity dinner at Origine Restaurant, Brittany Hotel BGC for the benefit of the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital.

Together with her team at Storytellers Management Inc., Michelle treated her guest to a Spanish feast curated by Origine Restaurant’s Chef Alexandra Cacho, and sweet indulgence courtesy of Arce Dairy Ice Cream. The highlight of the charity dinner was the collection of over 13,500 diapers, which were turned over to the hospital.

"Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital has a special place in my heart as a mother of two incredible children,” Michelle, president of Storytellers Management Inc. and Salmo Trading and Distribution Corporation, said. “I salute everyone at the hospital who are working tirelessly to help mothers and their families.”

Considered as one of the Philippines’ most important maternity healthcare facilities, Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital sees an average of 150 births per day, one of the highest rates in the country. With limited resources and overcapacity, four to five mothers and babies share two single beds pushed together.
