PDEA urged to probe escape of 7 drug suspects

ZAMBOANGA CITY â€“ Mayor John Dalipe here has asked the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to probe the escape of seven drug suspects from their detention facility here on May 13.

Dalipe asked the PDEA to conduct an in-depth investigation of the incident to ensure that all parties involved in the escape are identified and appropriately charged.

He expressed disappointment over the incident and described the escape as a setback in the war against illegal drugs.

Dalipe directed PDEA personnel and police to effect the immediate arrest of the escapees

Three of the suspects were nabbed during a buy-bust operation on May 2 in which suspected shabu worth P146 million was seized.
