ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9 and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group seized 21.5 kilos of shabu worth P146.2 million from four suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in a boarding house in Barangay Mampang here on Thursday, May 2.

The suspects were identified as Wilson Sahiban, alias Tulo, 25; Junjimar Hajili Aiyob, 29; Jimy Sahibol, 30, and Abdurahman Abdulhakim, 27.
One of the suspects was a teacher of an elementary school in Zamboanga.
The suspects also yielded a .45 caliber pistol and bullets.
Authorities had been monitoring the boarding house for the past four months as a possible transacting point for illegal drugs.
Mayor John Dalipe here commended operating units, saying that the successful drug operation prevented what could have been kilos of drugs distributed in this city.
This was described as the biggest drug haul by authorities so far in Region 9 or the Zamboanga Peninsula.
