CEBU CITY – A four-year-old boy died after he allegedly fell from the 27th floor of a condominium building in Barangay Lahug here on Monday morning, April 8.

According to Police Major Romeo Caacoy Jr., chief of the Mabolo Police Station, the boy landed on a canopy on the third floor of the building. The boy was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The management of Citrineland Corp. assured it is coordinating in the investigation being conducted by the police.
“The management is deeply shocked and saddened by this recent incident as our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the child. The safety and well-being of our residents, visitors, and staff have always been of greater importance to us, and we are fully cooperating with the condominium corporation and authorities in their investigation into the matter,” the company said in a statement.
Citrineland said it will be implementing necessary measures to prevent a repeat of a similar incident.
“In light of the incident, we have implemented enhanced security measures and increased personnel presence in the area to provide reassurance to residents and visitors,” it said.
