Join UP's speech workshops and training programs this June: here's how

Programs offered this year: Speech and Performance for Kids, Basic Public Speaking for Tweens, Advanced Public Speaking for Teens, and Effective Communication for Professionals

The UP Department of Speech Communication and Theater Arts (DSCTA) is set to conduct a series of speech workshops and training programs in June.

The Speak UP workshop is part of UP DSCTA's extramural projects. Four programs will be offered this year: Speech and Performance for Kids (ages five to eight), Basic Public Speaking for Tweens (ages nine to 12), Advanced Public Speaking for Teens (ages 13 to 17), and Effective Communication for Professionals. The programs for kids, tweens, and teens will consist of ten two-hour sessions from June 17 to 28 (weekdays), while the professional program will be conducted in four parts on June 22 and 29.

All workshops will be held face-to-face in UP Diliman, and will be facilitated by DSCTA faculty members. A maximum number of 15 participants will be accommodated per class for optimal learning experience.

Registration fee, which is inclusive of a kit and certificate, is P7000 for the speech workshop for kids and tweens, and P8000 for the training program for teens and professionals. An early bird discount of P1000 can be availed until April 12 or until all slots are filled.
