Hot entertainment find, lawyer Oliver Moeller from Cebu, has been spotted for the second time on the set of It’s Showtime. This time, he’s no longer a contestant looking for an ultimate date, but is said to be visiting fellow Cebuano, Kim Chiu. We, who love Kim Chiu, a really nice girl, pray that something will blossom between the two of them, for keeps.

How is ‘Mother’ Lily Monteverde? The matriarch behind Regal Films has formally turned over management of the enduring movie company to eldest daughter, Roselle, who now calls the shots. ‘Mother’ Lily, recovering from an illness, now prefers to stay at home, watching Netflix, bonding with her grandchildren.

National Artist Nora Aunor has reportedly flashed the go-signal to director Adolfo Alix, Jr’s desire to make a sequel to the superstar’s landmark film, Bona. A digitalized version of the original film, by Lino Brocka, is said to premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival in May.

Jericho Rosales bounces back by way of Pedring Lopez’s crime drama series, Sellblock, set to premiere also in Cannes. The series, which is eyeing international TV distribution,  tracks down the operations of a major drug empire operating within a Philippine prison facility. The last time we followed a similar series on Netflix was a few years back, via Prison Break, a really exciting, tough act to follow.

Wondering when and where our favorite, Rico Hizon, shall spring back on mainstream TV, after the closure of CNN Philippines. Internationally trained Rico’s one fine news anchor and interviewer known for his intelligent questions and sensitivity, he must be viewed by all.

Good to know that a neighborhood mall, Robinsons Metro East, offers quite a selection of pre-loved books at bargain prices.  Other malls should follow the same example. For years, a shop called BookSale has been doing brisk business buying and selling previously owned books.

By the way, Robinsons Mall in Lipa City needs upgrading.
