Mother arrested for 'selling online sex shows' of her minor children
A mother who offered for monetary consideration her minor children for online sex shows has been arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Misamis Oriental.
The April 12 arrest of the mother, whose name the NBI withheld, was done by agents of the NBI's Human Trafficking Division (NBI-HTRAD) in Northeastern Mindanao based on warrant to search, seize, and examine computer data.
“The operation stemmed from the referral of the Department of Justice Office of Cybercrime (DOJ-OOC) against a certain individual engaged in offering her minor children for online sexual show and exploitation,” the NBI said.
During the operation, the NBI said the woman was found “in flagrante delicto (caught in the act) offering her own daughters for online sexual show in exchange for a sum of money.”
“Three (3) minor victims were rescued during the operation, who were turned-over to DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) for custody,” it said.
After he arrest, the woman was charged with violations of Republic Act (RA) 11930, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act; RA 9208, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, as amended; in relation to RA 10175, the Cybercrime Law; RA 7610, the Child Abuse Law; and rape by sexual assault under the Revised Penal Code (RPC).
