Team Rizal bags title in 2024 Calabarzon Regional Athletic Association Meet

The Rizal Schools Division Office (SDO) represented by student athletes from various public and elementary schools in Rizal Province won the title in the 2024 Calabarzon Regional Athletic Association Meet (2024 RAAM).

The Calabarzon athletic event was held in various venues in Laguna, Batangas and Quezon provinces from April 5 to 13.

The Rizal SDO, during the closing ceremony held in Laguna on April 13, was declared the overall champion with the most number of gold, silver, and bronze medal.

Second overall champion was Batangas Province, while Sta. Rosa City placed third in the overall medal count during the recently held sports event among public schools students in Region 4-A.

Rizal Governor Nina Ricci Ynares personally congratulated the Team Rizal by attending the Team Rizal’s victory party held at Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial National High School in Biñan City in Laguna.

Ynares congratulated the young athletes and the entire Rizal SDO family led by their division superintendent, Dr. Doris DJ Estalilla and Education Program Supervisor in MAPEH, Benito L. Picones as well as the team’s coaches.

The Rizal SDO’s Special Needs Education (SNED) was also the overall champion in the special needs education category of the regional sports event.

The Team Rizal will represent Calabarzon in the Palarong Pambansa on July 6 to 17 in Cebu City.
