The Department of Education (DepEd) on Monday, April 1, released a list of regions experiencing severe heat that will suspend in-person classes in favor of alternative learning methods to keep students engaged.

DepEd said Dagupan City will temporarily implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) from April 2 to 4.
Meanwhile, areas in Western Visayas (Region VI) that will adopt ADM are Iloilo City, Roxas City, Kabankalan City, Silay City, Guimaras, Himamaylan City, Dumangas (Iloilo), and Bago City.
In Zamboanga Peninsula (Region 9), Pagadian City Pilot School and Buenavista Integrated School will also adopt ADM.
The municipalities of Banga and Tantangan in Soccsksargen (Region 12) will also utilize ADM for their students.
The said method will be used after schools in Visayas and Mindanao announced their suspension due to extremely unfavorable heat conditions.
