Sarah Geronimo graces Billboard Women In Music Awards wearing a stunning Michael Cinco gown

The Filipino pop star is among this year’s Global Forces category’s honorees


Sarah Geronimo makes history as the first homegrown Filipino artist to be honored at the annual Billboard’s Women In Music Awards. For the event, held at in Los Angeles, California on March 7, the “Tala” singer opted to wore a custom piece designed by Dubai -based couturier Michael Cinco.

On the red carpet, she wowed everyone with her blush sequined corset gown with a sweetheart neckline. To add more sparkle, Stylized Studio, the creatives behind her look, paired the gown with fine jewelry pieces courtesy of JMA Jewelry.

Sarah is among the recipients of Global Forces award, which is the newest category introduced at the ceremony. Also honored with the award were Italy’s Annalisa and Brazil’s Luísa Sonza.

For the Filipino singer, receiving the award “signifies courage and hope,” a moment that “will bridge the gap between the Philippines and other nations.”

“I humbly accept this award on behalf of every amazing, excellent Filipina, Filipino artist back home and all over the world. I’d also like to take this moment to thank God first for the gift of music,” Sarah said during her speech. “Hindi ko po inisip, hindi ko po pinagarap na mararating ko po yung ganito (I never thought of this, I never dreamed that I'll be here), that I’ll be able to deliver a speech in front of an international audience.”
