The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga feted the Manila Bulletin with the PaNata ko sa Bayan award during the agency’s 73rd anniversary celebration at The Pavilion at the Watergate, in Butuan City on Thursday, March 7.
The DSWD cited the Manila Bulletin as best supportive newspaper for exceptional writing and unwavering support to the agency.

DSWD Undersecretary Denise Florence B. Bernos-Bragas and DSWD-Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga awarded a plaque to the Manila Bulletin represented by veteran reporter Mike U. Crismundo.
Other awardees were local officials, heads of government, and the private sector.
“The DSWD-Caraga is thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations as the to esteemed awardees for this year's Panata Ko sa Bayan ceremony,” the DSWD-Caraga said.
“The exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to serving the community have not gone unnoticed, and the agency is to recognize those individuals and partners’ remarkable contributions,” DSWD-Caraga added.
Bragas said Panata Ko sa Bayan serves as a testament to individuals who embody the spirit of selflessness and compassion, making significant strides in serving the lives of those in the communities.
“Your remarkable efforts have left an indelible mark on our community, inspiring others to follow in your footsteps,” Bragas said.
