Globe expands 5G network coverage in Visayas and Mindanao

In its quest to bring fast 5G internet to even more people, Globe installed 41 new 5G sites across Visayas and Mindanao.
The vibrant Visayas region, known for its beaches, culture and robust industry and services sector has gained 27 new 5G sites. The second largest island In the Philippines, Mindanao, on the other hand, has 14 new sites, strengthening digital infrastructure alongside its significant economic transformation.
These efforts are part of Globe's broader initiative to enhance digital connectivity in the areas of health, education, finance and entertainment.
Last year, Globe achieved an impressive 92.36% outdoor coverage in key cities in Visayas and Mindanao and a near-perfect 97.90% in the National Capital Region facilitating over 5.8 million devices connecting to Globe's 5G network in December alone. This truly highlights the company's commitment to technological advancement and superior service delivery despite market challenges and the ongoing search for viable 5G use cases.
