Police raid house in upscale Laguna subdivision, net drugs, guns from father, son, 2 others
SANTA ROSA CITY, Laguna – Police raided a house in a posh subdivision here before dawn on Friday, March 22, and seized guns and illegal drugs from four individuals.

The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region identified the suspects as father and son Tiongco, aged 57 and 26; Sarona, 25, and Stacey, 27.
Lawmen conducted the operation following information from a confidential informant that the young Tiongco was engaged in illegal activities and possessed unlicensed firearms in his residence.
Surveillance and casing were made to verify the veracity of the information and upon confirmation, police applied for a search warrant for violation of Republic Act No. 10591 or the comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition.
Executive Judge Francisco Collado of Dasmariñas City, Cavite Regional Trial Court Branch 90 granted the document dated March 21, 2024.
Police raided the house and apprehended four persons and found suspected marijuana, shabu, and cocaine, and several firearms.
Suspects were informed of the nature of their arrest as well as their constitutional rights but they opted to remain silent.
The suspects and pieces of evidence were taken to the CIDG-Regional Field Unit-National Capital Region office in Camp Crame, Quezon City, for documentation and disposition.
The CIDG-NCR was assisted by the Laguna Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Laguna PPO, Santa Rosa City police, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 4-A.
Suspects face appropriate charges.
The operation is in line with the CIDG flagship project “Oplan: Paglalansag-Omega” and “Oplan: Salikop.”
