Their remains were dug up in a shallow grave by the Tayabas City police on March 14 following an inspection at the residence of Litada’s sister Ligaya Olivia Pajulas.
Mai and Lorry have been missing for almost a month when they were found.
On Monday night, the SITG supervised the implementation of a search warrant in the house in Tayabas City mentioned by the witnesses where the crime was committed.
Recovered were pieces of evidence such as 10,000 Japanese yen and P30,000 that corroborated the statement of the witnesses, Monte said.
With these pieces of evidence, the SITG is optimistic that formal charges will be filed against the suspects as the pertinent documents needed for the prosecution office are being prepared in coordination with the Department of Justice. (DOJ).
Monte urged the public to extend their cooperation and support to the ongoing investigation.
He assured the people that they are diligently performing their mandated tasks for the best interest of public service.
“With our collaborative and thorough investigation, we guarantee that truth and justice will prevail,” Monte said.
Olivia, also considered as a POI in the case, voluntarily surrendered to Pio Duran Municipal Police Station in Albay on March 15 with the assistance of her son.
