Cadavers of Japanese, Pinay unearthed in shallow grave 


TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – The bodies of a Japanese woman and a Filipina were discovered in a shallow grave in the backyard of a house in Bella Vita Subdivision, Barangay Isabang, this city, on Thursday afternoon, March 14.

Police identified the victims as Mai Motegi, 26, a Japanese, and Lorry Litada, 54, a Filipina.

Investigation said that the victims were last seen in the house of Ligaya Olivia Pajulas, the eldest sister of Litada.

They went missing afterwards and police conducted an investigation in Pajulas’ house.

Lawmen discovered a freshly dug area a meter away from the house and unearthed their remains.

Meanwhile, skeletal remains were found in a ravine in a subdivision in the City of Santo Tomas, Batangas on Wednesday afternoon, March 13.

A 51-year-old construction worker discovered the skeleton placed in a sack while hunting for monitor lizard.

He reported this to barangay officials and executives of the homeowner’s association who relayed the incident to the police.

Lawmen are conducting follow-up investigation on these two cases.
