2,260 fugitives arrested in Caraga in 8 months

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 arrested 2,260 wanted individuals from July 18, 2023 to March 15, 2024.

“This good accomplishment was recorded since the assumption of Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft as regional director of PRO-13 on July 18, 2023,” PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said.

The PRO 13-Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division-13 apprehended 54 most wanted individuals on the regional level, 115 most wanted on the provincial level, 162 most wanted on the city and municipal levels, and 1,929 other wanted individuals.

Ometer said the Butuan City Police Office arrested 490, Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO), 486; Surigao del Norte PPO, 449; Surigao del Sur PPO, 413; Agusan del Norte PPO with 325, and Dinagat Islands PPO, 97.

Among those caught were the No. 1 one most wanted person in the region.

Kraft commended police units for their efforts to make Caraga a peaceful region in Mindanao.

“These accomplishments stand as a testament of the steadfast dedication of every Caraga cop to serve and protect the country and its people,” he said.

“We also attribute this success to the support and cooperation of all stakeholders, especially the public, who share the same commitment with the PNP to uphold peace and order in the region.”

He urged the people of Caraga to report the presence of wanted individuals or any illegal activity in their locality to the police.
