Caraga's most wanted caught – PRO-13

BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested the No. 1 most wanted person in the Caraga region in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, on Sunday, March 17.

Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer identified the suspect as Jay.

Ometer said Jay was arrested by the PRO-13 Regional Intelligence Division (RID) through a warrant for murder issued by the Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 6, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, dated October 6, 2016.

No bail was recommended for his release.

The suspect was tagged in the fatal shooting of Clemen before dawn on May 27, 2015 in Prosperidad.

Police said the suspect hid in different parts of Mindanao and municipalities in Surigao del Sur prior to his arrest.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft lauded the successful arrest of the suspect.

“The commendable accomplishment of RID13 and San Francisco Municipal Police Station (MPS) exemplifies their commitment to serving justice for the victim and his family,” he said. “This highlights the unwavering campaign of the PNP-Caraga to hunt down wanted criminals, wherever they may be hiding.”
