However, his former girlfriend, Thanradee Chanchaninkul, AKA Kaellynnn, posted a series of photos and videos showing bruises all over her body on her Instagram Stories accusing the actor of physical abuse. He tagged Pawin  (ภวิน-ธนิก กมลธรานนท์) and his agency, GMMTV, in the posts.

On Feb. 28, GMMTV Co. Ltd., one of the biggest TV production and talent management agencies in Thailand, issued a statement that it removed Pawin from “We Are” and replaced by actor Poon Mitpakdee.

“GMMTV is writing to announce a change in the cast of 'We Are' Series from Pawin-Thanik Kamontharanon to Poon Mitpakdee. All filmed scenes with Pawin will be scheduled for a reshoot. GMMTV appreciates your understanding and continued support,” said GMMTV.

Before this, GMMTV announced that it was investigating Pawin for the allegations after it was tagged by Kaellynnn in the Instagram post.

“If the actor is found to be accountable, we will take appropriate actions to the fullest extent,” it said on Feb. 23.

GMMTV issued a new statement on Feb. 27 to say that it suspended Pawin from work and activities due to the ongoing legal proceedings related to the physical assault.

“Please be informed that the case involving Pawin Thanik Kamontharanon, an actor under GMMTV, is currently undergoing legal proceedings. Therefore, the company has decided to suspend Pawin from all work and activities until the case is resolved,” it said.

It said Pawin was suspended “to facilitate the case proceedings. Once the case is resolved and a clear conclusion is reached, the company will issue a statement accordingly.”

Kaellynnn accused Pawin of hitting her in the head three to four times and choking her.

On Feb. 28, Pawin held a press conference to air his side, denying that he physically assaulted Kaellynn. He said what happened was meant to protect himself and protect Kaellynnn from harming herself.

Pawin admitted that he was in a relationship with Kaellynnn for a month. The incident, he said, started on Feb. 9 when he decided to end their relationship.

“She was going to jump off the balcony. I stopped her and agreed to continue dating,” he said, Thai media reported.

After two to three days, he said, she broke up with him and he started packing things up to leave the condo (reportedly located in Thonglor, Bangkok).  As he was collecting his things, Kaellynnn ran to pick up a rope as if she wanted to hang it around her neck. He stopped her, he said.

Pawin said after this, there was an event on Feb. 18 to 19. She told him that if on Feb. 20 he went to work and came back and saw her not breathing, what would he do? He got worried and had her call a hospital for an appointment.

On Feb. 22, he said, while he was chatting with a friend, Kaellynnn got jealous and took a rope to hang around her neck. He stopped her. She tried to jump off the balcony and he stopped her, ensuing an argument. She ran and picked up a knife to stab him. He snatched the knife from her and threw it across the room. He locked the balcony to prevent her from going out to the area. Shen then picked up a pair of scissors to stab him.

Pawin said Kaellynnn came close to him so he had to push her away. She came running towards him so he pushed her again and took the scissors and threw it in the room.

He said he carried her to calm her down in the bedroom but couldn’t because a chair was blocking it. He carried her into the bathroom but she struggled and he lost control. Her back hit the tub. He gave her CPR until she got better and convinced her to take medicine.

On Feb. 23, his mother called for him to run errands at home. He got ready to pack his things and told her he was going home. She refused and another quarrel ensued.

Kaellynnn allegedly stepped on a computer monitor. As he saw her destroying things, he called the police to report it and that he was moving out but he was being prevented.

Kaellynnn threw out a computer monitor and he went down from the condo. When he reached the lobby, he called his friend to tell him the situation was not getting better.

While he was waiting for the police, a rescue worker went to the condo to check on Kaellynnn and brought her to a hospital.

He learned that a person was injured when the computer monitor was thrown out from the condo. The person was released from the hospital but his wound needed to be cleaned. Pawin gave money to help the injured person.

On whether he assaulted Kaellynnn, Pawin denied it, saying most of the time he restrained her from hurting herself.

Pawin said he told GMMTV that he would like to withdraw from the “We Are” series.

What he did, he said, was to protect himself and prevent her from harming herself.

“Well, we have no way of knowing if she would actually jump or not but I had to go in and stop it first. I don't want to see anyone die in front of me. In fact, I have helped her. I stopped her from committing suicide but she was holding a knife and scissors so I felt I had to protect myself from injury,” he said.

Pawin said he has evidence including an audio clip and video calls with friends to prove that he did not assault her.

He said the police have not contacted him about it but he will fully cooperate.

After his press conference, Kaellynnn uploaded photos and a video on Instagram Stories. The video showed a screenshot of CCTV footage taken in the condo with the caption “Where is the truth?” and Kaellynnn encircled the photo of a man and wrote “here.” One photo showed her bruises in the arm and leg.
