White gowns dominate Grammys 2024 red carpet

Pop stars Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Kelly Clarkson, among others, opted to wear classy white garbs for the music industry's biggest night

Unlike other major awarding ceremonies, the Grammy Awards is where stars become more experimental when it comes to their red-carpet looks. Think of Jennifer Lopez's iconic green Versace dress in 2000, Cardi B's vintage Mugler look in 2019, or Lady Gaga's egg entrance in 2011. These are testaments to the Grammys' non-conforming take on the red carpet. For its 66th edition, the biggest names in the music industry go for timeless and classic looks, with white pieces dominating its red carpet.

"American Idol" alum Kelly Clarkson channeled an Old Hollywood vibe with her white off-the-shoulder gown. Members of the American indie group Boygenius attended the awards in matching Thome Browne suits. "Vampire" singer Olivia Rodrigo wore a 1995 Versace piece. While pop superstar Taylor Swift came looking like a champion wearing Schiaparelli.

Still, many stars brought spice to Grammy's red carpet. Miley Cyrus entered her "Cleopatra" era with custom Maison Margiela made of gilded safety pins. Doja Cat played with sheer illusion with her Dilara gown. Dua Lipa brought disco with her custom silver Courreges plunging dress. Billie Eilish gave "Barbie" energy with her Willy Chavarria look.

Black also dominated this year's Grammys. Lana Del Rey put a dark take on the croquette aesthetic with her lace floral LBD. Janelle Monae was a goddess in a Giorgio Armani dress with a 3D floral embellishment. Paris Jackson explored a cut-out silhouette with her Celine ensemble. Sza served an ornate black look by Andrea Brocca.

The Grammys' red carpet was also painted with colors. Leading the pack was singer Dawn Richard with her magenta tree-inspired gown by Khosrov. "Water" Tyla donned a custom green dress by Versace. Giving her take on the mermaid core was Paris Hilton in Reem Arca. Wrapping this color parade was Kylie Minogue in a fiery Dolce & Gabbana gown.
