Marcos advises Quiboloy: Face probe, tell your side of the story
President Marcos has urged Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to show up and answer allegations against him that he has denied.

Marcos advised the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) leader that "the best way to defuse" his situation is to testify before the committees in the House and in the Senate.
"I would just advise him that just kung mayroon naman siyang sasabihin (if he has something to say), if— he has an opportunity in the hearings both in the House and in the Senate to say his side of the story. Kaya po sinasabi niya, hindi totoo lahat ‘yan, hindi totoo, walang nangyaring ganiyan, ‘di sabihin niya (If he is saying that these are not true, these are not happening, then he must tell)," the President said in a media interview before he departs for Australia on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
Marcos also reminded him that he might face worse situations if he is held in contempt for being unable to attend the Senate and House inquiries.
He added that he must take advantage of the opportunity given to him to respond to the allegations against him.
"Kung makapunta siya, sagutin niya lahat ng tanong, ‘di tapos na (If he shows up, he can answer all the questions, then it would be over). That’s why my advice for him is to just face the questioning in the House and in the Senate. Marinig natin ang kaniyang side para malaman natin kung ano ba talagang nangyayari dito (We could hear his side to know what really happened here)," Marcos said.
"We’re trying to be fair here and allowing him, an opportunity and fora to make his case. So, I think he should take advantage of that," Marcos added.
The President, meanwhile, laughed off Quiboloy's claim that there is an assassination plot against him, allegedly hatched by the United States, with the blessing of Marcos and the First Lady.
"The cases against him in the US were filed before I became President. So, I guess he’s very worried doon sa ano (with that)," Marcos said.
Quiboloy is facing inquiry in the Senate over allegations that he raped some of his former followers, while a House panel is conducting an investigation on the alleged violations of his television network SMNI.
