A social media account of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) -- Dear PAO FB -- has been hacked, PAO Chief Persida V. Rueda-Acosta posted on her Facebook account on Monday, Feb. 26.
Acosta said the hacked Facebook account "is now showing nudity and sexually suggestive videos.”
“Please help us mass report this hacked page of Dear PAO showing nudity and sexual videos,” she urged the public.
She said the Dear PAO Facebook account is a daily column of the PAO that gets published in a newspaper.
She also said she has repeatedly warned the public over the years against fake social media accounts claiming to be from her and the PAO.
Just last December, Acosta said she found a fake social media account using her name that she identified as: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100082253745297.
“Scammers might use this fake account to the prejudice of unsuspecting innocent persons,” she warned.
She said she has asked Facebook to remove the fake account for being fraudulent, malicious, and for using her name and pictures without her consent.
