Beyoncé makes history with 'Texas Hold ‘Em'

Beyonce's new single “Texas Hold ‘Em” is now the number one song on Billboard's Country Music chart.

It is a huge achievement for ther 42-year-old pop star, becoming the first-ever black woman to do so in the history of the said chart.

It has also made her the second solo female artist – with no accompanying featured artists – to debut at No 1 there, after Taylor Swift achieved the feat in 2021 with her re-recordings of "Love Story" and "All Too Well."

Beyoncé also made a good showing at the pop singles chart when “Texas Hold ‘Em” zooming in on No. 2 at the Hot 100 listings.

“Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” form part of Beyoncé’s “Act II” album due March.
