Microsoft launched its premium subscription Copilot Pro and is committed to bringing Copilot to a broader audience. The new subscription will gain access to Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote on PC, Mac and iPad for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers.

Copilot Pro is an expansion of Copilot - an artificial intelligence (AI) companion for Microsoft 365.  As shared by Peter Maquera, CEO at Microsoft Philippines, Copilot Pro is designed for power users, creators and anyone who seeks to enhance their Copilot experience.  He added, "Our goal with CoPilot Pro is to provide an enhanced AI experience that seamlessly integrates across devices.  This includes understanding user context on the web, PC, apps, and in the near future, mobile phones, ensuring that the right skills are delivered exactly when needed."

A standout feature of Copilot Pro is priority access to the latest models starting with OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo.  To improve the performance during peak times, users can make use of this feature.  Users will soon be able to switch between models to optimize their experience based on their specific needs.

Copilot Pro improves the creation of AI images using Image Creator from Designer, formerly known as Bing Image Creator.  With faster processing of up to 100 boosts per day, images are more detailed and higher in quality.  In addition, Copilot Pro subscribers can build their own customized Copilot GPT using the new Copilot GPT Builder.

Increase Business Access

Together with the launch of Copilot Pro, Microsoft announces the availability of Copilot for Microsoft 365 to businesses of all sizes.  Small businesses with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard can now purchase between one and 299 seats.  Incidentally, the 300-seat purchase minimum for commercial plans has been removed.  This makes Copilot available for Office 364 E3 and E5 customers.

In addition, Microsoft enabled its newtork of Cloud Solution Provider partners to sell Copilot for Microsoft 365.   Last month, eligibility was extended to education faculty and staff.  Microsoft emphasized the power of Copilot for Microsoft 365 as it works across an organization's entire data universe, including emails, meetings, chats, documents, and more, plus the web.

New Features in Copilot

Microsoft introduces new features in Copilot, including Copilot GPTs.  This enables users to customize the behavior of Microsoft Copilot on a topic of particular interest.  Microsoft is rolling out Copilot GPTs for topics such as fitness, travel, cooking and more.

For those always on the move, the Copilot mobile app is available both on Android and iOS platforms.  More good news for individuals with a Microsoft account.  Next month, Copilot will be integrated into the Microsoft 365 mobile app allowing users to access Copilot within the app and export created content to Word or PDF documents.

With these announcements, Microsoft brings the power of AI to everyone.
