Keri Zamora, wife of San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, is now spearheading projects on her own to help those in need.
One such endeavor is the Caring Keri Foundation, which prioritizes the welfare of women and children. "It continuously develops programs focusing on mental health, breast and cervical screenings, livelihood sem-inars, and diet and nutrition talks," she explains.
She also assumed the role of President of the Metro Manila Mayors' Spouses Foundation, Inc. (MMSFI) last November 2023, "Just last December, we had the opportunity to partner with the SM Foundation and treated the children from Child Haus (a temporary shelter for indigent patients from different provinces who have cancer or other dreaded diseases) to a shopping spree and amusement rides at SM MOA. In the same month, we also partnered with MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority) for the 'LAB FOR ALL:Christmas for All' project wherein more than 250 homeless individuals received food packs and other forms of assistance."
It was undeniably a rewarding year for Keri, and she wanted to give thanks to friends and family who continue to support her in her chosen endeavors. "After my cancer diagnosis five years ago, every year I grow older is a reason to celebrate with my loved ones. I've learned to live my life to the fullest and with purpose."
Her 44th birthday last Feb. 6, 2024 was a good opportunity to gather all of them at Ebi10, located at the new Greenhills Mall. A specially curated menu was prepared, featuring the family’s favorites. "We wanted to make our guests try the popular dishes, as well as our personal favorites. My son Noah would have the steak with ponzu daily after school, it's also my Ebiio staple including the Truffle Edamame."
