Indulge in a grand gastronomic celebration with the exclusive 'La Seranata' menu
By Rey Ilagan

If you're planning an unforgettable Valentine's Day celebration, look no further than “La Seranata,” Casa Buenas' 7-course dinner curated and prepared by Newport World Resorts' culinary maestros.
The exclusive menu, crafted by Casa Buenas' award-winning and innovative team led by Executive Chef Godfrey Laforteza, showcases Filipino-Spanish flavors brimming with love. Each course is named after terms of endearment, including Carino, Amor, Encanto, Pasion, Afecto, Dulzura, and Enamorado, creating a romantic ambiance like no other.

The evening begins with Cariño with Chorizo Con Queso Fondula, featuring a delectable assortment of star and multigrain bread, lavosh, and baguette with dollops of sweet ube and tomato butter. This course is accompanied by Shrimp and Grits, a prelude with freshwater prawn, cauliflower, and a warm shrimp-tomato gazpacho.

Amor follows, introducing the gently seared San Pablo Eggplant Salad and Lowa de Aton, a trio of fresh tuna in a spicy cream with ikura. Alongside, Chorizo Croquetas showcase crispy charcuterie, and Seared Citrus Salmon is complemented by yuzu marmalade.
Encanto, the third course, embraces you with Clear Mushroom Soup—a light and warm broth with mushrooms, marinated mussels, and foie gras. Pasion presents Roasted Black Cod with black garlic aioli and chorizo patatas bravas.

Casa Buenas' standout dish is their unique interpretation of Beef Wellington. In Afecto, the tender meat enveloped in mushrooms and a golden puff crust is baked to perfection. It’s accompanied by truffle potato puree and Fundador peppercorn sauce, elegantly topped with caviar.
Dulzura’s Eight-Texture Macaron bursts with harmonious flavors. Davao chocolate's richness, the tanginess of raspberries, and the double chocolate crunch, adorned with gold flakes, elevate the French pastry into a sensational experience.

To conclude the gastronomic journey, Enamorado presents Sweets and Liquors. Enjoy Dalmore 70 percent bitter dark chocolate, Emperador gold enamel bar, Grand Marnier pralines, Tabasco spiced vodka, XO truffles, and champagne crisp crunch.
