87 new immigration officers deployed to protect PH borders -- BI
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deployed 87 new officers to its frontline offices nationwide to enhance the protection of the country's borders.
“These new immigration officers have been trained to serve following our core values of patriotism, integrity, and professionalism,” Commissioner Norman Tansingco in a statement on Thursday, Feb. 1.
Tansingco said the 87 immigration officers where deployed immediately after finishing their training under Border Control Officers Module (BCOM) at the BI's academy in Clark, Pampanga. They graduated last Tuesday, June 30, he said.
“We trust that the new officers remain faithful to their duties as defenders of our borders,” he said as he reminded them to ensure proper conduct as they have been deployed to the frontlines.
He warned that he will not tolerate any report of inappropriate or unprofessional behavior.
