A total of 806 persons deprived of liberty (PDL) at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City had been vaccinated against flu, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said on Thursday, Dec. 26.
The three-day vaccination campaign that started last Dec. 18 was held at the NBP's minimum security camp. Forty-nine bureau personnel were also vaccinated.
“The initiative is part of a broader effort to safeguard the health and well-being of individuals within the facilities, ensuring that personnel and PDLs are protected against seasonal flu outbreaks,” the BuCor said in a statement.
It said the campaign was led by BuCor’s Directorate for Health and Welfare Services (DHWS) headed by CT/SInsp. Ma. Teresa Anuri.
