Falsification, anti-dummy law charges filed vs Alice Guo, 4 family members

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) filed before the Department of Justice (DOJ) charges of falsification and violations of the Anti-Dummy Law against dismissed mayor Alice L. Guo of Bamban, Tarlac and four members of her family.

The other respondents in the complaints are Alice's two siblings, Shiela Guo and Ximen Guo; and their parents Lin Wenyi and Jian Zhong Guo, the NBI said.

NBI National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) Regional Director Ferdinand Lavin said on Tuesday, Dec. 17, that the charges were in connection with the Guo family's 3Q Farm, Inc. in Pangasinan.

“They have falsified the articles of incorporation, the secretary certificate, and the general information sheet,” Lavin said.

He also said "they misrepresented themselves as Filipino citizens when NBI was able to sufficiently establish that they are Chinese citizens based on forensic examination of the fingerprints as appearing on various documents.”

“Pineke nila, pinalabas nila na Filipino sila para ma-enjoy nila ‘yung privileges para doon sa Filipino corporations (They faked it, they made it appear that they are Filipinos so that they can enjoy privileges meant for Filipino corporations)," he added.

“This is a continuing investigation being conducted not only by our head office but also by the other district and regional offices where they may be found to have properties,” Lavin, also the NBI's spokesperson, also said.

Aside from the filing of the complaints, Lavin said the NBI will also seek the forfeiture of the properties located in Mangatarem, Pangasinan.

“These are, I believe, four parcels of land covered by three deeds of sale,” he said.
