P12-M 'counterfeit' motorcycle parts seized in Bulacan

Suspected counterfeit motorcycle parts valued at P12 million have been seized in Bulacan during an operation conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

In a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the NBI said the operation was conducted last Dec. 3 by operatives of the NBI-Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bulacan.

During the operation, it said four search warrants were implemented against OK Motorparts & Accessories/Ape Qingtan Hong Motor Parts, Inc. located in Balagtas town.

“The operation stemmed on the complaint filed by Honda representative as regards to the proliferation of fake products bearing their trademark,” it also said.

“The said operation resulted in the seizure of substantial quantity of various motorcycle parts and accessories with an estimated value of P12,000,000,” it added.
