EdukSine, the popular all-Filipino streaming platform, makes its way to the United States after having officially registered as a Delaware C Corporation with a virtual address on Wall Street, New York City. It shall henceforth be known as EdukSine USA Corporation.

This milestone marks the entry and expansion of EdukSine into the U.S. market, paving the way for smoother film production and broader distribution.

Spearheaded by founder Karen Jane Salutan-Krukover, together with her husband and investor, Dennis Krukover, who also serves as Executive Producer and Co-Founder, this achievement is the result of a collaborative effort by the equally dedicated EdukSine team.

Ms. Krukover announced plans to produce EdukSine Original films, starting off with docu-film, “Ang Mambabatok,” about the ancient art of tattooing in the highlands of Northern Luzon.

The company is positioning itself to make a significant impact on the global film industry.

EdukSine USA Corporation was made possible through the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Philippines, in collaboration with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Los Angeles, PTIC Silicon Valley, and San Diego Filipino Cinema, all of which contributed through the Malikhaing Pinoy Program and funding assistance.

Salutan dedicates this enormous step forward  to her late parents, Raquel and Ronilo Salutan.

Earlier, EdukSine celebrated Triple Victory at Asia CEO Awards. The channel secured three Circle of Excellence awards at the prestigious Asia CEO Awards. These honors include recognition as SME Company of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year for founder Karen Jane Salutan-Krukover, and IT-BPM Techblazer of the Year for CTO Jacob Catayoc.

EdukSine has been widely recognized by Asia CEO for its innovative approach to film access, promoting cultural appreciation, education, and inclusivity nationwide. Dubbed the “Filipino Netflix” for indie films, EdukSine provides a platform for filmmakers with limited theatrical opportunities and marketing resources.

With the accessibility of streaming content online, filmmakers can showcase their work, raise awareness on social issues, and preserve Filipino culture, reaching audiences even in remote areas without cinemas.

The platform also opens job opportunities as it promotes economic growth in the creative industry. Its impact is measured through metrics like block screenings, page views, and regional reach. EdukSine consistently collaborates with organizations to expand its audience and influence, with the goal of showing Filipino films worldwide. It extends beyond entertainment, promoting critical thinking, unity, and social progress while advocating for diversity and cultural preservation in the film and entertainment industry.

Ms. Krukover says EdukSine's narrative is one of transformation, a story of revolutionizing the film industry, one that’s redefinng the way we experience cinema, and it's resonating with those who are eager to be a part of this narrative of change.

“Now, anyone can access these quality films online in just 17 seconds, anywhere in the world.”

For the past several years, EdukSine has been changing the narrative for independent filmmakers and viewers.

Ms. Krukover notes that in the not-so-distant past, the world of independent filmmakers and producers was one of relentless struggle. Their stories, while powerful and unique, often ended as victims of the fleeting first-day showing in cinemas, overshadowed by mainstream and Hollywood films.

For many, traditional platforms seemed like insurmountable giants, leaving film visionaries struggling to compete and recoup their investments.

“The world was a challenging place for these talented creators, and only those living in key cities could have access to quality indie films. People in far-flung communities had to endure a grueling 17-hour boat ride or an expensive one-hour plane journey, spending thousands of pesos just to watch a film in a cinema house.”

But then, EdukSine emerged as the game-changer, rewriting the narrative for independent filmmakers. EdukSine streaming platform is accessible through www.eduksine.com.
