PAGASA: Wind signals lifted as 'Marce' exits Philippine area of responsibility

Typhoon “Marce” (international name: Yinxing) left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Friday afternoon, Nov. 8, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 5 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the center of Marce was located 285 kilometers west-northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

The typhoon has maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour (kph) near its center and gusts reaching 185 kph.

As Marce moved away from the country, it no longer posed a direct threat, and all wind signals have been lifted.

Over the next 24 hours, the trough or extension of Marce may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales.

Similar weather conditions are expected across the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

The public is advised to remain vigilant for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
