New Prosecutor General Fadullon vows to uphold rule of law, deliver justice real time

Newly appointed Department of Justice (DOJ) Prosecutor General Richard Anthony D. Fadullon on Tuesday, Nov. 5, vowed to uphold the rule of law and deliver justice real time.

“At a time when the DOJ is thrust right in the middle of brewing controversies, I assure the public that the National Prosecution Service will continue to perform its function with utmost professionalism and ensure that the rule of law will at all times be upheld,” Fadullon said.

“I ask for your prayers as I continue to embark on this journey towards improving the prosecution service and ensuring that the administration of justice is delivered in real time,” he also said.

Fadullon admitted that he is “deeply honored” to be picked as prosecutor general by President Marcos.

He thanked Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin C. Remulla and other DOJ officials “for the trust and support they have shown.”

Fadullon replaced former prosecutor general Benedicto A. Malcontento who resigned last Oct. 16.

Prior his appointment, Fadullon has been assigned as senior deputy state prosecutor.

After getting his AB Political Science degree at the University of the Philippines (UP) DIliman in 1983 and law degree from the San Beda College in 1987, Fadullon started working at the DOJ on April 6, 1994 as prosecutor II and rose from the ranks thereafter.
