After launching the rebranded ENPRESS (Entertainment Press Society of the Philippines) and introducing its new name, MMPRESS (MultiMedia Press Society of the Philippines) recently, the members decided to give special recognition to personalities who continue to support and inspire the Philippine entertainment industry (mas inclusive na raw ang grupo.. inclusive of tax?! Chos!)

Last week, I was tasked to host MMPRESS Kick-off and Appreciation Night at the Dengcar Theatre Mowelfund (bilang member ako, may choice ba ako?!)

Our founder and chairman Jun Nardo welcomed the attendees (alangan namang ako?!)He thanked all the members (na wala raw attitude ha!) and the organization’s supporters (takot lang nila na hindi magsupport!) GMA Sparkle artist Liana Castillo, P-pop Group 1621 BC and singer Pappel (na walang dalang lapis!) took time to perform and share their talents on stage. (bakit di ako pinakanta?!)

They extended their gratitude to MMPRESS and appreciated its efforts (at least hindi puot ang inabot!) Special mention was given to Ms. Jo-Ann Maglipon, who gave an inspiring speech. One of her quotable quotes that night was: “I do not think of showbiz as a sidebar or an addendum. I want showbiz at center stage. I want it respected.” (taray di ba?! Dami pa nyang bonggang hanash!)
