Duterte explained why he has been taking fentanyl.

He said that he was prescribed a fentanyl patch eight years ago after he underwent a surgery due to motorcycle accident.

Duterte challenged Marcos to undergo a drug test to be conducted by an independent body.

This, he said, must made be before the eyes of the public.

Duterte on Sunday alleged that Marcos was into illegal drugs and was even included in the watchlist of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The PDEA has denied ever having Marcos in any of its watchlists.

A day later before leaving for a state visit to Vietnam, Marcos suspected that Duterte's claim that he was into illegal drugs may have been brought about by the fentanyl that his predecessor has reportedly been taking.
