- Perez said that ARTA will not hesitate to press charges against agencies or government officials who violate the law.
The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) has asked government agencies not to be "pressured" with or "fear" its presence as it explained its mandate to help agencies improve the delivery of their services to the public.

ARTA director-general Secretary Ernesto Perez said this as the agency conducts its Report Card Survey 2.0 to measure the delivery of government services.
In an interview with State-run PTV-4 on Wednesday, Jan. 3, Perez asked government agencies to cooperate with ARTA to help the Philippines.
"Malinaw po ang mandato ng Anti-Red Tape Authority; patuloy na paigtingin, pabilisin ang serbisyo (The ARTA's mandate is clear: to continue to strengthen and hasten service)," he said.
"Makipagtulungan po tayo (Please cooperate). We are one nation. We love this country. We want this country to improve," he added.
According to Perez, private stakeholders, foreign chambers, and foreign ambassadors are upbeat about the Philippines' economic prospects.
"We cannot go wrong with this as long as we continue to unite and help this country move forward. This will definitely improve our economic conditions in the country, and we are looking at a much better year 2024 for the country, for the Filipino people," he said.
"ARTA will be there as your partners because we only have this country, and there is no other better way than to cooperate [and] unite to improve our services to the people," he added.
Perez, however, said that ARTA will not hesitate to press charges against agencies or government officials who violate the law.
"Ang mandato po ng ARTA ay (ARTA's mandate is) two-pronged – to capacitate and enable government agencies as partner agencies," he said.
"Kung mayroong matigas na ulo, last recourse, hindi po tayo mag-aatubili na imbestigahan at paylan ng (If there are disobedient ones, the last recourse is we will not hesitate to investigate and file) charges after due process, of course.
