  • I have been with Christopher and Sandy in several showbiz events, but this was the first time I had a four-hour chikahan with them.

I'm back attending the “Lolit Solis Lunches”. (I'm sure miss nya ako kaya binibitbit nya ako!) Two weeks ago, we were with Aileen Go of Megasoft hygienic products. (na proud sa endorser nyang si Kim Chiu! Pwede kami partner ha, FUKim!) Last week,  showbiz power couple Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong took time to meet Nay Lolit and the honorary members of Team Lolit namely Salve Asis, Gorgy Rula, Pat P Daza and Leo Espinosa. (ako ang muse!) Noel Ferrer was also present. (na dati kong talent manager at ngayon reyna ng MMFF!)

I have been with Christopher and Sandy in several showbiz events, but this was the first time I had a four-hour chikahan with them. (more than four hours pa nga ata!)  The first thing I noticed was their ageless aura. (mas fresh pa sa fresh!) Our Best Actor goes for a No pork diet and regular workouts. Sandy also has her diet rules highlighted with a positive outlook in life. (ginagawa ko rin yan para ma-maintain ang aking Darna figure!)

Christopher is overwhelmed with the support of the movie-going public for his MMFF entry. When I met you in Tokyo with Ms. Vilma Santos. (hindi kumukupas ang magaling at iginagalang na mga artista!) Aside from being the lead actor, he also had a significant role in directing, acting, and scripting. (all in one si Papa Boyet!)

He is set to leave for Los Angeles for the Manila International Film Festival this month. “I’ll be there for five days, then visit my son in San Francisco. “ (ay pwede po ako PA sir!)

As soon as he returns to Manila, he will continue taping for Batang Quiapo and finalize details for a series of shows with Tirso Cruz III. He also wants to direct and produce films. “I have several scripts at hand right now. It’s super dami.  May mga materials. Yung casting lang ang problema.” (actually naki-brainstorming ako dun sa cast ng posibleng movie!)

With all these in mind, retirement is not part of his plan. “No retirement. Out of the question. Doon ako lalong madaling mamamatay. I mean, I can lie low. You know, accept good movies or good offers, but you're completely retired. Hindi.”  Christopher explains. (yes bawal magretire sir!)

Stories from this lunch were never ending. (marami di pwede iispluk unless ipost ni Nay Lolit sa IG!) But before leaving the venue, I took the opportunity to have photos with the true gems of Philippine showbiz. (yung feeling close ako at hinila ko sila sa isang sulok na may magandang ilaw!)
