Mondo Cucina Inc., the official Philippine distributor of the Italian kitchen appliances brand SMEG, celebrated its 16th year with a joyous party held at the Ayala Museum. The strategic choice of the venue highlights the intertwined legacy of art and excellence of this iconic kitchen brand.
Through the decades, SMEG has collaborated with noted architects, and even a fashion house, in order to level up its offerings to be a strong blend of technology, function, innovation, design, and art. As Mondo Cucina founders Ton and Karen Concepcion were ready to stress, a SMEG appliance is a living, practical work of Art—and not just a fridge, oven, coffee-maker, or blender.
Guests to the SMEG/Mondo Cucina party were given the opportunity to view the repatriated masterpiece of Juan Luna, Hymen O Hymenee. And this drove home again how the two brands imaginatively connect with art and excellence. Special guests of the night were Ambassador of Italy to the Philippines, His Excellency Marco Clemente, and SMEG's Export Director Asia Matteo Lupi.
Family, friends, the real estate industry, media — they all mixed together through the night to make this celebration become an outpouring of gratitude. From the Mondo side, acknowledging the support they have received through the years. And from the guests, recognition of how Mondo Cucina brought this well-loved brand to our shores.
