CEBU CITY – The conduct of the three-day Bar examinations here was generally peaceful, police said.
The three-day examinations for aspiring lawyers was held at the University of San Carlos and University of San Jose-Recoletos on September 17, 20, and 24.

Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7), said no untoward incident was reported throughout the examination period.
Aberin thanked all the stakeholders for cooperating with the police in ensuring the peaceful conduct of the examinations.
The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) strictly enforced a liquor ban and the anti-noise ordinance near the two universities to avoid disruption while the examinations were ongoing.
More than 200 personnel were deployed by the CCPO to secure the two testing centers.
"On behalf of PRO-7, I would like to congratulate our examinees for this feat and we wish you all the best as you await for the highly-anticipated results,” Aberin said.
According to the police, there were a total of 1,448 aspiring lawyers who took the Bar in this city.
On Monday morning, September 25, officials from the Supreme Court paid Mayor Michael Rama a courtesy call at the City Hall.
Supreme Court officials led by lawyer Mica Briones Vitug thanked the city for supporting the conduct of the Bar examinations here.
