The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has seized more than P218 million worth of "fake" imported products during raids conducted in Metro Manila and in the provinces of Cavite and Aklan.
Armed with search warrants, NBI agents seized in Tondo, Manila last Sept. 12 about P121 million worth of "fake" Louis Vuitton products; about P6 million worth of Siemens Software in five sets of desktop computers in Rosario, Cavite; and 6,562 bottles of "counterfeit" Hennesy liquor and beverages worth over P91 million in Metro Manila and Aklan.
The NBI said the operations were conducted separately by the bureau’s Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) and the National Capital Region (NBI-NCR).
Its statement did not mention if any person was arrested during the operations.
