Sandara Park sad, sorry for fans after Cebu City K-pop concert postponed

Sandara Park, or Dara, is disappointed that the K-pop concert in Cebu City she was scheduled to perform at was suddenly postponed by the organizer. 

The “Awake: A New Beginning” show was slated to feature Dara, AB6IX, Viviz, Younite, 1MILLION and MB Crew and scheduled on Sept. 23 at the City Di Mare events grounds in South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City.

But organizer Mark Entertainment and Events suddenly announced on Sept. 15 that the show had been postponed. 

“AWAKE: A New Beginning is taking a rain check! Cebu's first K-Pop concert is on pause due to unexpected weather moves and unforeseen circumstances. Further information regarding the rescheduled dates and any additional information will be announced soon. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this may cause,” it posted on Facebook. 

Dara expressed her disappointment about what happened. 

“I’m so sad and sorry for my fans coz of the cebu concert. I’m also very very sad and disappointed with what happened. I was preparing a lot for the show. But there is always next time so pls I hope you guys are ok and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks. #staystrongdara #staystrongdaralings,” Dara posted on X on Sept. 17. 

Dara also said she is not going to the Paris Fashion Week this year and another work in another country was canceled too. 

“And I’m not going to PFW this year. I was supposed to be in other country for work end of this month but unforfunately, it just got canceled too. what is happening..  my god. So it is already too late to prepare for Paris. What a bad timing,” she added. 

Before the Cebu City K-pop show was postponed, “The Super Stage by K-pop in Manila” show featuring Dara, Mamamoo+, Kep1er and Lapillus and was supposed to happen on Aug. 11 was canceled. 

“There is always ups and downs in life. Honestly, I’m not feeling good but how much more Daralings and Blackjacks feel…. U guys are always happier than me during my good times and more sad and hurt during my bad times. But There’s a rainbow always after the rain. I love you guys,” she said. 

“I love fashion and I super enjoy attending fashion events but I think Performing onstage > Fashion events. I can still go to fashion week next yr but I was really excited to meet my fans onstage again in different cities. Hoping for more shows in the future. We are still young!!!” added Dara.
