CEBU CITY – Police here will enforce tight security near the two testing venues of the Bar examinations conducted by the Supreme Court on Sunday, September 17.
The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) said the liquor ban and the anti-noise ordinance will be strictly enforced within the 100-meter radius of the University of San Carlos (USC) and University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R).
Police Lt. Col. Janette Rafter, deputy director for operations of the CCPO, said the tight security measures are meant to protect examinees from distraction.
Rafter said the liquor ban and anti-noise policy will be imposed from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
One-hundred two policemen will be deployed at the USJ-R and 51 at the USC.
Streets surrounding the two universities will be closed to traffic, said Rafter.
Police said 1,100 law graduates will take the exam at USJ-R and 150 at the USC.
